Malawi - In the border towns of Malawi, traffickers often look for vulnerable children to exploit. But thanks to your support, a team of twenty trained men and women works tirelessly to identify and stop them before it’s too late.

Angela’s story shows just how critical this work is. She was only thirteen, though looked much younger, when a woman promised her steady work as a housekeeper. Angela believed she could earn enough to help her four younger siblings—so she eagerly accepted the job offer.

That promise was a lie. Instead of finding honest work, Angela was drawn into a hidden world of exploitation. For months, she was held under control, her future slipping further away as traffickers planned to send her across the border into larger operations.

Then came the moment of rescue. One afternoon, while Angela was being transported, our team spotted her.

Recognizing the signs, they called the authorities and launched into action, chasing down the traffickers on their motorbikes. It was a race against time—if she crossed the border, she would likely disappear forever.

By God’s grace, the team caught them in time. Angela was pulled from danger and brought to our safe house, where she received care, protection, and compassion. In time, Angela was joyfully reunited with her family, safe at last.
