We are committed to a holistic approach in our skills and business projects, which includes making time for fun and building lasting bonds. Early motherhood and the pressures of establishing a livelihood should not prevent these young women from enjoying self-care. For them, play is therapy.
Recently, the girls at the School of Purpose participated in inter-regional competitions, with teams from three different regions competing in netball, bottle-filling, sack races, dance competitions, and a Bible quiz. Through these activities, the girls not only showcased their talents but also learned valuable life skills like teamwork, support, and mental resilience. The entire community in Luuka came out to cheer them on, creating a unifying and joyful atmosphere.
Team Lyantonde took the gold, with Kampala girls finishing second and Luuka girls placing third. After the games, a time of worship led by Pastor Isaac culminated in a moment of fellowship, resulting in 49 community members giving their lives to Christ.
