Christina spent three weeks in Zimbabwe and Uganda, teaching communities how to heal and grow using biblically rooted principles. She was accompanied by TRG’s CEO, Annabelle, and Director of Programs, Fionna. This marked the first-ever Hope Alive event in Zimbabwe, and the turnout was amazing. 85 community members attended, and one girl shared her story of how the teaching helped her begin healing from past trauma.

Over the course of three weeks, the trio traveled to four different communities, reaching over 350 people. Each session was filled with emotion as community members realized that true healing requires a holistic approach. The teachings also focused on identity, forgiveness, and the power of dreaming big.

One of the communities they reached was Napak, home to the Karamojong people, the most marginalized and outcast group in Uganda. The teaching had a profound impact on this community as they were reminded that they have worth and are deeply loved in the eyes of God. The impact was so great that one Imam pledged to share the teaching with his congregation at the mosque.
