EMPOWERING AFGHAN REFUGEES BY FEEDING THEIR FAMILIES AND HELPING THEM START SMALL BUSINESSES.

The horrors of war come readily to mind these days and we all remember the tragic images of families clinging to US military planes as they took off in August 2021. Hundreds of those families have now made it to Delhi, India but their struggle is far from over.

I thought that life would be better in India. Instead, it is getting worse every day.
"I thought that life would be better in India. Instead, it is getting worse every day."

With no Indian work certifications, families are forced to take illegal jobs which pay them so unfairly that it borders on slavery. Their savings are gone and their meagre incomes barely cover rent and utilities. With no way to feed their children, fathers have begun taking loans from dangerous loan sharks who are now threatening violence if they do not pay back their loans.

"We need this food. But we don't want it. We want to work for our own food."

You Can Make Them Providers

The Impact Nations family is ready to come alongside 200 of these desperate families with more than just food. We can give them the training and loans they need to start their own small businesses.

Rent is coming due soon and we want to be able to help them in time. We will be sending them help on April 1st. You can ensure that these families have the opportunity and support they need to build a better life in India.

100% of donations to this project will go directly to India to help this community.

    • Ready to Go!

Despite significant obstacles, classes for the refugees are ready to begin! Here is the update we received from our partners in Delhi:

"Our team went and stayed in Delhi for days to kick off the project. The following report gives the recent update of the Afghan refugee and how things are looking at this beginning phase."

      • We were able to look and rent the relevant place, where we will be running the sewing center and the chef’s training program. We have finished all the paper work plus the police verification which was required by the government.
      • We also communicated with the people that we are starting the program after Eid, and were able take registration of 40 individuals (20 people each project). These Afghans were in tears to witness that we were finally able to deliver what they were hoping and praying for.
      • We were also able to purchase the Equipment for the sewing center and the Chef’s training program.
      • We were also able to finish all the legal requirement to run the vocational training center.
      • We were also able to meet and communicate with the trainers who will be working with us to train the refugees.
      • We were also able to meet and communicate with the agency who will be working with the job placements. We were also able to organize the meeting between the trainers and job placement agency, to make sure that the trainers know all the details that are required by the job providers.
