woman who has not walked in 8 years takes her first steps

While walking through paths of Divino Nino 4 of us walked up to the first home in front of us to offer prayer & a flyer for the evening campaign meeting. We found a very frail woman in a rocking chair who had extremely crippled fingers, arms and legs from severe osteoporosis and arthritis. She is 45 years old and probably weighed about 75 lbs. Her sister had recently come to live with her and care for her & explained how she had not stood or walked in 8 years and had to be carried between the chair and her bed. The sister demonstrated how painful it was for her to move her sister's joints by trying to move her arm and her leg. The woman winced in pain. We began to pray. After a few minutes, we agreed as a group that we would just spend as much time here as the Lord led and not rush onto the next home. This was a divine appointment as I am a therapist and Tamara is a very gifted singer. The 4 of us continued to pray & Tamara sang over this woman. I began slowly moving this woman's fingers and elbows and shoulders as we were praying - the woman began to tear up & we thought something was wrong. She said the movement in her arms was NOT painful, and as I was moving her she was trying to do as much of the movement herself as she could. I began stretching her legs and the movements that there was no pain in her knees - eventually we asked if she wanted to try standing and she did. Her eyes shone with tears and her sister was crying loudly saying that her sister had not been able to move as the Lord was allowing her to move as we prayed. The woman stood again and as she stood up straight her sister cried again that she had not been able to stand up straight for so long. She said she wanted to try walking. We helped her to take the first steps she had walked in 8 years to the window of her home where she could see the daylight. GOD IS SO GOOD! While we had faith for healing when we entered this home, I would never have imagined so much healing would happen. This woman began a journey toward healing & freedom. For her it will be a process. I asked her if she had felt trapped in her body all these years & she teared again. This was her day. And it was a divine appointment to use the skills & gifts the Father has given us. More than anything, it was an opportunity for FAITH to rise up in all of us. If I came all the way to Nicaragua for that one woman - it was soooo worth it! I am so thankful to the Lord for how he raises our faith for what he LONGS to do. Amen.
