When the Kingdom Comes

Yesterday was a very special day in the midst of a special Journey of Ccompassion. After a 90 minute bus ride, we arrived in the village of Namdam. As we walked through the lane ways on the way to where the medical clinic was to be held, we were greeted by many,many villagers (about 4,000 live in Namdam). Thriiought the day the team treated about 300 people. Because of the extreme poverty, one of out ladies has two different mothers off her their babies and ask h to take them back to America. Most of us in the West cannot imagine the level of desperation that so many live with in India (and Africa, and Hati, and the Philippines ....).

At 6 pm we began an open air gathering-LOUD music, dance, some great songs from Ken & Deb (who are amazing!), testimonies--then The preaching. There were about 500 people listening- almost all of them Hindus. When I invited them to come forward to receive Jesus, they came and they came. my first guess was that about 200 came to Christ, but after taliking with team and finding out how many more they led to the Lord while praying for their illnesses, the number may be closer to 300. Vijay's remarkable team keeps getting all their names and contact info ngiht after night so that they will followed up on in the coming days.

I will a let the team member write their own healing experiences, but let me just say that the miracles have been remarkable.s One member prayed for three blind people yesterday and all three were healed! A boy with a limp and "lifeless" hand was completely restored.

With so many coming to Christ yesterday, I have great hope for a deep and lasting transformation to come to Namdam. I told them about the Kingdom last night and told them that all the possibilities for the village will now start to change. I can hardly wait ti find out from Vijay's team in the coming weeks what God will do.

This evening, we will e doing the concert at the beach in Vizag. We expect to see over 5,000 people. Let your Kingdom come to Vizag, Lord.
