Impact Nations

i find it hard to believe that its been almost two weeks since i watched the impact nations team leave uganda on a bus. many people were sad, some were crying. it wasn't a bad sadness, it was just hard to say good bye to so many people that had become like your family.

i opted to stay in uganda till feb 26th. when i joined impact nations in uganda i was not prepared for what was going to happen. i thought this was a simple medical journey. bring supplies, give supplies with a smile and leave. this was not the case!

instead we spent almost a full two weeks preaching, praying, and bring practical help to the people of uganda.

before november i wasn't walking very closely with god. at the beginning of november he started to call me back. and then brought me here to uganda! before this trip i had never seen a person give there heart to god let alone be asked to lead that person in prayer.

since being here i have seen countless salvations and healings. we were asked to preach in churches! i have never preached. now its feb 16th. i'm still in mityana enjoying a nice day of rain actualy! and i'm still being asked to preach here and there. i'm still seeing the fruits of our labers! the impact team is still thanked when i show up at the church the people walk up and say "thank you for all you have done to help our district"

the longer i stay here the more i realize how much each one of the people on our team needed this as much as the uganda people needed us. i know i myself will never go home the same. god used this trip to change me completely. and i know form speaking with many of the members it was the same for them!

i wrote a small note on one of our last days about some of what i saw well here but i wanted to take some time to talk a bit more about what we saw.

before i came on this trip i believed god spoke. i believe his will was to heal. but everytime i prayed for someone nothing happened. then i came here and i have seen so many people healed! it has nothing to do with me but everything to do with god!

probably two of the most amazing healings i saw were:

a little baby by the name of jacky. she desided she liked me so she walked around with her hand in mine for most of one of our crusades, up untill this point i hadn't picked up a child. children used to scare me and plus with babies i'm not to fond of what can come out of them without a moments notice. but i ended up picking up jacky and i'm so happy i did! because when i picked her up right away i noticed she wasn't healthy. her breathing was off. it was struggled. so i had our leader christina, and then david and then i prayed for the child and each time one of us prayed she got better and better until she began to breath normally!

the second amazing story was one i needed to witness. it was on the day of our second clinic. i was frusterated because all day i kept praying and nothing was happening. and my faith was going down. then i was asked to pray for a man who had back pains, enough that he couldn't move his back kwithout pain. right after my interpreter and i prayed for him he was instantly healed! it was amazing!

k i think thats enough for now, i just wanted to let the team know uganda will not soon forget what god used them to do!

yours in christ,

Joel yager.
