True Samaritan

My heartful love to all my friends.

Thanks for coming along with us to see the poor, to heal the sick, to comfort the needy and to fill their hunger. Your reward is high both in heaven and in the hearts of our poeple in India.

We had Feeding the Poor on 26th Aug. On of the best opportunity to share our love to the poor and forgotten brotherhood. As usual 5 girls have gathered in our home to cook for them. The menu this time, an egg, rice with different pulses and tamarind, and a water packet. We've prepared 180 food packets. We've finished cooking, packing and cleaning by 3:30 p.m and by 4 we are on our regular roads.

We went to a regular spot where our friends started coming running towards us, they are shouting with joy and yelling at others to come fast. We've found out that they did not eat since 2 days. As it was raining heavily, they are unable to go out. We gave them the food and they sat and ate there itself. Meanwhile we saw a brother among them yelling and shouting at us. we went upto him to find out what the matter was. On seeing us near him he yelled more, so much anger on his face. His face below neck was burned and the wounds are still red. Mosquitoes are fleeing around his neck.

After a while he calmed down, took us to a nearby tree where 2 friends were lying down there. We gave them food but both refused to take. When i went near a man to share God's love i was unable to help myself crying. There was uneasiness in my bowls, felt like vomitting. He covered his face till then but when i approached, he uncovered his face. A big reddish swelling on his face, it completely covered his mouth and an eye. The reddish growth was bigger than his face. Red ants and mosquitoes torturing him. He can't eat or drink anything, lying there since months!!!. Another man lying there broke his left leg and mourning in pain since 2 weeks!! No one to take them to the hospital. I just sat there infront of them helpless.

The other beggar who shouted at us, was he himself was in so deep pain due to burns. But his anger was not to ask help for himself but for his other two helpless friends. We were shocked on seeing his love for his fellow people. A true Samaritan indeed.

At once Vijay called up our friends, Doctors and nurses, team guys called 2 autoes, lifted the two helpless friends into them, took the beggar friend who helped us find them and who was badly in pain and admitted them in the Hospital, had them all chek ups and tests done.

Next day, we got the news that, the two persons leg and neck was finely treated, gave them good medicine and some money. But the man with the growth was suffering with final stages of cancer and beyond any help, fighting with death. Our help was limited. We were unable to go beyond .
