The Love of Jesus compels you

The JOC to India was my third with Impact Nations in the past 12 months. I have been surprised, tested and amazed by God on all three. However, I am now beginning to realize that the trips are not meant to be about me at all, no matter how pure I think my motives may be. Sure the by product was my spiritual growth, increase in faith and endurance for the gospel, but God had bigger, more significant plans and they did not centre around me.

Healing and deliverance are part and parcel of Jesus' compassionate nature and He was definitely moving amongst us in Visakhapatnam. Many people were healed of the pain in their bodies, as well as their hearts and hope was filling the air. Miracles that were written in the gospels became a reality, the deaf began to hear, the blind could see, the mute started to speak and the lame began to walk. Who could then deny the power and Love of God when the evidence was so plain to see. Salvations became a natural course for many and Jesus received the reward for His suffering. Hallelujah!

Jesus was sent to reach the lost, the hurting, the sick and the oppressed. We have been commissioned to do likewise, as His followers. The beggars in India are people who have been tossed aside by their own government. Many are born, live and die on the roadside, never knowing their true value and worth. The nameless, 'faceless'  generations who are known by God and whose lives He weeps for. If I can make a difference to even one person, if the awesome Love of Jesus may be felt through my hands, in my smile or my actions, then the trip was more than worth any price I had to pay, whether financially, physically or emotionally. 

Christ in you, the hope of glory is just waiting to be released, to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons and raise the dead. Jesus is the Healer and He is more than sufficient to meet all of the needs, including yours. I therefore encourage you to prayerfully consider going on a Journey of Compassion, it will undoubtably change your life, but even better than that, Jesus will use you to change the lives of many, your brethren who have yet to know the unfailing Love of Abba, their Daddy.
