Impact Nations

This is a portion of an email that I received today from our partner in Vishakapatnam, India, Vince Carter. Vince and Nancy have trained and released a remarkable team of young men and women. I am both amazed and humbled by their dedication to advancing the Kingdom of God. I have ministered with them in a lot of settings, both among the poorest of the poor who live on the sidewalks of their city, and in numerous villages in the surrounding areas. However, I have never been to the remote tribal areas that Vince describes in this email.

I am reminded of Paul's letter to the church in Rome–

"How can they call of Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they  have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, 'How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!'"  (Ro 10:14-15 NLT)

Over the past few years, the Lord has joined Impact Nations with remarkable partners in India, Haiti, Nicaragua, the Philippines, and several African nations. It is a great privilege to work with these heroic men and women who have, and continue to sacrifice so much personally for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus.

Now, enjoy this brief report from India.

We've just returned from a Boot Camp into the tribal villages. We've taken 30 of our guys and reached 13 villages in the 3 days.
We walked nearly 5 kilometres each day, crossed beautiful rivers and streams, climbed up and down 4 to 5 mountains to reach each village, the maximum number of houses in each village is 4 to 10. It surprised us even. Last day we walked 12 kilometres and reached 4 villages. The people worship nature, spirits of their fathers and practise witch craft. They will have special trees in their villages that produce concentrated liqor, both men and women drink a lot every day.
There are no roads, no electricity and no proper houses.  The wild animals like bears and tigers are common. We've camped in villages in the pitch dark, used the tents and mats to sleep. Wow, trekking, adventure, fire, fun. Had great time. We want our guys to see the mission field and touch it with their hands and be burdened for these unreached people groups. Thank God, all our guys are challenged and filled with fire and passion.

Nancy is fine and Ria celebrated her 3rd Birthday yesterday. Will put her in school this month.

Love and prayers,
Vince
