SALVATIONS IN VIZAG

This was my first JOC with Impact Nations. My husband and I have been to India twice before to places where there are anti-conversion laws which prohibited street evangelism in the villages.  However, the freedom to preach the Gospel and lead people to Jesus in the areas we visited was quite amazing.  I heard before leaving Australia that India was 'ripe for the harvest' and I have to say after easily and freely leading people to the Lord, this is certainly true.  I had fresh revelation by experience of Isaiah 55:11 where it says that God's word goes out and never returns to Him void and accomplishes what He purposed it to do and His Word will prosper. So it didn't matter how I was feeling - whether I was feeling inadequate, nervous, hot, tired, distracted - it didn't matter because it's not about me, it's about God and His promise that His Word will always accomplish what He wants it to!!  And people were saved - HALLELUJAH!!  So easily when the 'simple' Gospel message was shared, the people responded.  When they heard of a loving God, who sent His only Son to die for them, carried their sin and sickness to the cross, then rose again and is alive, they responded!  Two wonderful testimonies to this is on the night that the Friends Meet team were releasing their new worship CD in a park in Vizag where 700+ people were gathered, there was a lady who was out on her balcony nearby ready to commit suicide.  She heard the loud worship music and heard the message of a loving Father, that she decided not to end her life.  Praise God!! Also on the same night, up in the mountains around where the concert was being held, a man heard the music and was drawn to it.  He followed the sound down the mountain and ended up at the concert and gave his life to the Lord - yeh God!!!  Did I see and experience many physical healings - yes absolutely!  Jesus healed people with sore necks, backs, arms, legs, blurred vision, blind eyes, the lame, the deaf, the mute, people with respiratory problems  and so much more!  Thank you Jesus!!  You know what's really amazing.........Jesus used 30 ordinary people on the team to bring His extraodinary healing power to those in need.  If you've never been on a JOC, let me encourage you to go - you will never be the same again!!  Blessings - Ros.
