Reports from last week's Journey of Compassion to Limonal, Nicaragua
A team of 12 (mostly from one church) focussed specifically on one village of 1,500 people for the entire trip. There are six "streets" and they set up on a different street each day. They did construction, fed children, and visited each house. If you didn't believe in the supernatural, you wouldn't want to work in Limonal. They are in tough shape with no obvious sources of hope (read the history). Here are the team's stories.... – Doug
I thought the poverty there would be too much for me to take, but in truth, my heart has been warmed by what I've seen there. Yes, my heart has been broken by the poverty, the bondage, the alcoholism, and other walls that have been long erected. But I've also been hit by a wave of joy. more
...working in that heat labouring to cut every piece by hand really made me appreciate the look on Pastor Miorga's face when we gave him the saw to keep for future work. He said that he had been praying for years that God would provide a saw! more
Back problems, Hip pains, Eye problems, HEALED!!! God is working here, God is healing here! The triangle of death has a new name….The Triangle of Hope. more
God has really done great things in Limonal this week, he has healed kidney problems, he has opened deaf ears and opened blind eyes. more
The kids here are like little "fuegos" of God; just their smiles can make your day. more
...we danced with the children, prayed for mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers, all who would accept. The healings included a woman who had been hemoraging for 8 days and God healed her so powerfully she spoke to all those who would listen and hear. Many tears were shared by the team and the locals. Prophetic words were spoken to gang members, men and women and over many children. God changed the village’s vision from “Village of Death” to “Village of Hope”. Although this kind of transformation takes time we have struck the ground hard for the Lord. This kind of intervention stirs imagination, excitement, possibilities and the heavenlies. more
I have never prayed so hard for God to multiply those fruitloops so all the kids could have some floating on their bowls !! more
