Releasing the Reality of the Kingdom in Connecticut

I am in Bristol CT this weekend. I have been teaching about the Kingdom of God and how to connect the community to its reality. This morning I took the group out to a housing project to give away some fruit for the kids, and to pray for people. This was something completely new for almost all of the team. a few days ago there was a murder in this housing project, so we knew there would be a lot of fear and anxiety.

We were only there for an hour, but God did many wonderful things. Everyone was so thankful to receive prayer. In several instances, we could see peace replacing anxiety on their faces. God began healing people in many of the homes. When a man who had severely injured his back and neck received prayer he became very hot, then all the pain left. He bent over again and again but could find no pain. A woman with a damaged eye received full sight back. There was just a little of the bluish film left after the team prayed. She was so happy. A few minutes later, another team member went over to her home. While she was talking to her the rest of the film disappeared from the woman's eye. A woman in bed with a slipped disk was totally healed--she was so delighted as she walked and jumped around. Her husband said to the team, "God brought you to our home today!"

Mercy, a friend of mine who has traveled on a number of Journeys of Compassion with us, drove over to our city to take part (she lives in another part of Connecticut.) She and another lady from the conference began to talk to a young man who was a drug dealer. As they talked to him about God's love and plan for his life, he called over his friend to listen too. In a few minutes they joined hands with our two team members and gave their lives to Christ.

This all happened in one hour--I believe it is the beginning of a whole new reality for Bristol. Everyone is made for the activity of the Kingdom-both to receive it and to give it away. For this housing project the Kingdom came and what was impossible only hours before, became possible.
