To what end would God go to show His love and glory? In Egypt He devastated the land and tore open the sea so that everyone would know that He is the great I AM. In Bethlehem He sent His beloved son to live here with us; to befriend the marginalized, to challenge the self-righteous and ultimately to die for us all. And in the past two weeks, God again proved His power and His love.
We arrived just a few- 10 plus two- a significant number I am sure. It was hard to imagine just how this was all going to work; there was such desparity between what we wanted to do and what we were capable of doing. Enter the grace of God!
The stirred hearts and generous pockets of Australians make financial barriers melt away. A dedicated pharmaceutical provider with a heart for the hurting makes those dollars stretch beyond our greatest expectations. 12 people actually turns into more than 20, with at least two or three doctors and nurses and countless pastors and young people volunteering for each clinic. God provides. God provides.
And all of this for what reason? It would all be worth it for the little girl whose ears were opened at the first evening outreach. It was all worth it for the little baby who could go to the hospital because 1,500pesos were available for a blood transfusion. It was all worth it for the woman who felt new hope when her elderly and disabled mom was prayed for. I know that God would move mountains for any one of these... but what I am learning is that those same mountains were also moved for me. He has grown me and challenged me through tough decisions, exhaustion and doing so much that I had never done before. I know again what it is like to overcome weakness and insecurity with His grace and strength. And that overwhelms me.

This is an amazing recap Danielle. I'm so happy to hear that God's grace was sufficient, as it always is! One of the things I prayed for most for this journey was a multiplication of resources, because I saw there were so few people going. You all did a terrific job! I'm looking forward to serving with you again, hopefully in the near future..
