I GROW UP IN A REMOTE AREA WITH SALTY AND YELLOWISH WATER. ONCE A WEEK I WENT TO OUR TOWN PROPER AND I MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY A SMALL BOTTLE OF MINERAL WATER TO DRINK BECAUSE IT TASTES GOOD. HOW I WISH THAT ALL OF MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS CAN DRINK MINERAL WATER EVERYDAY AT ANYTIME WE WANT, BUT IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR SO MANY REASONS AND ONE OF THEM IS FINANCIAL PROBLEM. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE TASTE OF OUR WATER. WE ARE SO THANKFUL THAT BIOSAND WATER FILTER CAME TO OUR AREA. THIS IS A BIG HELP IN OUR AREA. OUR PEOPLE WERE AMAZED, IT’S LIKE MAGIC! WE POURED YELLOWISH WATER IN THE FILTER, THEN IT TURNED INTO CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER AND IT TASTES GOOD! WE THANK YOU FOR THE HELP, FOR THIS WATER FILTER. NOW WE CAN DRINK BETTER AND CLEAN DRINKING WATER. IT’S JUST LIKE WE HAVE A SUPPLY OF MINERAL WATER IN OUR OWN BACKYARD……………..HUSAIN KIDO

This area is surrounded by a knee deep water until El Niño hits this place. This Sitio is composed of 25 families and fishing is their main livelihood. Most of them suffers from diarrhea and some stomach pains due to dirty drinking water. I praised God because if it’s not through Impact Nations’ project and if it’s not through the LOVE of those who supports the project, I will not have the opportunity to go to this place. This is my first time to go to this very remote and isolated area, and I’m the first non-muslim who entered their place. The people are surprised when they know that I’m not a muslim. Most of them don’t know how to speak Filipino (Tagalog) but their own native dialect. They are so thankful that they receive biosand water filter. Some men told me that this is their first time to receive a “project”. They think that there are government projects intended for them but their leaders pocketed the budget. As I walk under the heat of the sun, I remember the story of Moses when God made a miracle by making the ocean split and dries the land so that the Israelite could pass, this Sitio is covered by water before and you have to use a “banca” (boat) to reach this place but now, I reach their place with our nissan pick up service. And this is the very first time that a four wheel vehicle entered to their area! A lot of first time!!! I just want to thank you all. God Bless You More and may you continue to be a channel of blessings to others. To God Be the Glory!!!
