Impact Nations

I told the team during orientation that lately we have literally saved a life on every trip, so to expect that. The first patient through the door on Saturday turned out to be that patient. A mom brought in a very sick baby boy who was near death. The medical team jumped into action, we all prayed, and within a short time we could see improvement. I'll let one of the nurses tell the more detailed story, but for me it is worth getting on planes and leaving my family behind, knowing that we have literally saved a life, beyond all the other lives who are saved spiritually and whose bodies are healed.
The team shared testimonies, preached and released healing in six churches yesterday. Hannington and Florence welcomed me ("Mama Christina") with joy to Bulera Miracle Centre, where we enthusiastically entered into the joyous singing and dancing. It is so rewarding to see the improvement in health, especially of the children, since we were here last year. Following a wonderful lunch at Robert and Esther's we had a brief time at the prison where we were able to share testimonies, pray for the prisoners and  and give away vitamins and anti-parasite medicine. We took a full day off today. Half went to Kampala to swim at a resort and shop (2.5 hours on a bad road; I said no thanks; I had work to do. And I hate the road!). The two doctors also went along to take a boy to the hospital and pay for some tests, as they were keen to see if they could help him medically beyond what was available locally. The other half stayed here, walked into town, and we'd planned to hang out with the Kings Kids, but we're disappointed because now it is raining. But I can hear them in the dining hall teaching some Africans how to line dance (thank you Rose)! There has been lots of laughter on this trip. We're back to Bulera tomorrow, and then do clinics and outreach at the Kings Kids on Wednesday and Thursday. Heidi and Olivier  have joined us in the clinics and outreach when they can, but of course have been busy with wedding arrangements, and we're all excited about the big day Friday.
