Haiti Journey Today

Steve got a decent phone connection. Here are snippets of the team's experience as it happens....

they crossed the river to a tent city called "City of Light" - the team fed 98 children, put on a program and gave them toys and presents they'd brought from home
one woman prayed for 6 people and all had their vision restored (one was completely blind)
another prayed for a woman's arm that wasn't working, and it moved freely
going to the top of a mountain today to do medical clinics and an outdoor meeting
lots of people coming to Christ every day
tomorrow going back to City Maya: the team has "passed the hat" and will give clothes and food to 900 very hungry people
they're travelling in the back of very rickety pick-up trucks, with 2x4's for benches and nothing to hang on to
yesterday they hiked (even the 70 year olds!) 1km to a beautiful blue swimming hole where two team members got baptized
rescued a starving baby who our doctor said may not have lived through the day

What an amazing journey we had! So many miracles and so many salvations! Two of my favourite stories are the following: in one of the clinics I prayed for an older, gray haired man who had back pain. God took away his pain and then I led him to the Lord. Later in the evening at the crusade Steve called for young men who were willing to fully commit themselves as disciples and as future leaders and there amongst all the young men was the older man who had just given his heart to the Lord!

A few days later at another clinic I was praying for people as they waited for assessment. I prayed for an older man with vision problems and God healed him! Excitedly he was saying to the translator "I have read about this in the Bible and now God has done this for me!" Right after this I prayed for a women who had limited vision and God also healed her! As I moved further away she kept waving and saying, " I see you!" Then people a few rows back wanted me to pray for a lady they were saying was blind. God also healed her! Suddenly I became overwhelmed with the goodness and power of God and that He had used me! What a mighty God we serve!
