Genuine godly generosity will break the back of poverty. Selfishness is in the root of poverty. Greed is what perpetuates it.

29 March 2010 in Sydney, Australia. It's been 16 days since I've been back from the Philippines.

What bridges do we need to make in order to rescue the poor? Love is nothing unless it stares poverty back in the face and we act to help the poor discover hope again. We need to discover the love that honours the poor who considers poverty their fate. What will break it? What will break the curse of poverty?
