Each 'one' matters

If I wondered whether I was to come on this trip before I left Sydney, I had no doubt on the morning after I arrived in Manila, when I went to Payatas, the town built up around the rubbish tip. God has broken my heart for the poor in this nation and I feel the deep privilege of being allowed by Him to come here to be part of sharing His love and mercy. I think of the story of the little boy, who, on finding thousands of starfish stranded on a beach, began throwing them back in one by one. When someone came along and saw what he was doing they challenged him that he was wasting his time, he would never save them all. His response, as he picked up one more and put it back in the water, I can make a difference for this one. For the every 'one' that we touch it matters to them. thank you Jesus for all the lives that are now different because we came on this Journey of Compassion.
