Thanks everyone for coming to Haiti. I was blessed to help and to introduce the group to Haiti. I keep thinking of the Spirit of the Lord, that was the one, constant, overarching presence on our trip. No obstacle, controversy, chaotic situation ever overcame the sweet presence of the Lord! When I think of the experience, and all the 48 different experiences that we each had, God's presence, revival, answered prayer, and changed lives tops the list.
In the midst of broken buildings, tent cities, rivers in the road, the Spirit of God lifts up everyone. When we look back, it is not the broken stuff that we remember but what God did when we ministered as nurses, preached, prayed and sang. That has always been my experience, and why I go back, and what everyone who has gone with me in the past says after a trip.
What does Precious Pearl do in Haiti? We are sending 64 children to school, we are feeding all the students a meal each school day at the school. We are feeding 450 children and mothers each day at the Marlene's kitchen at Pastor Eddy's house. We have 6 mass crusades a year in the Carrefour vicinity. We support Pastor Eddy's new church that meets in the basketball stadium and has about 5,000 members. We have a car, two trucks, a motorcycle and a team of about 60 to 80 people, stage builders, electricians, sound men, musicians, singers, ushers, security, intecessors, cooks, drivers and translators who help us conduct mass crusades for audiences of 5,000 to 10,000. On top of all that we jump on opportunities to help in other ways.
So I am very thankful that you all came, saw, and conquered. Conquered your own fears, and conquered the hearts of the people you met in Haiti with the love of Jesus.
I want to encourage you that you can do this anywhere, you can overcome with the love of Christ. But I call Pastor Eddy's "Revival Land." The Spirit is already moving there. I am so happy that we all got to share the revival. I want you to know that you are all my new friends in Christ. Halleluiah!
All my love in Christ,
Mac
