Impact Nations

The Journey of Compassion team members have thrown themselves into a world where everything is falling apart. Their cars have been breaking down every day. The plumbing breaks every day. One of the cars was in an accident yesterday. The big shade tents for the clinics are still held up in customs. It is a taste of what life is like for the people of Haiti.

In the midst of this the glory of God begins to fall:

During orientation, 4 team members who came with chronic conditions were healed. And no one was even specifically praying for them!

Yesterday they put on the first mobile medical clinic in a tent city of 3,000 with no church. Someone counted 8 families sharing 1 tent. They treated 240 people, saw hundreds healed, and this afternoon 150 new believers are having their first church service!

I was praying for a group of people with headaches, when a woman exclaimed, "I can see out of my left eye! [she was blind] And my headache's gone too!"

Tomorrow they go to their next tent city. The leader there was suspicious "What are you going to do? Are you just going to leave us afterward?" But Steve explained our emphasis on relationship and told him of the work we're already doing with Reginald in Carrefour. He was amazed:

Impact Nations is an answer to our prayers! Please start a church here. The children need education. Help us start businesses.

After the journey, one of Reginald's leaders is moving to Jacmel to do just that. And these 21 courageous people will build on the friendships started here to help us stay connected for long-term transformation in Jacmel.

Praise God!  He is always faithful to His promises.  Where His Word goes out it will not return void.  How great is our God!

I'm praying too.  Am with Sue Walker as below:-

On the other side we need to continue to stand for the team in all that they are dealing with.

Particularly Steve and Christina who are both quite sick. Also for the tents to be released from customs and for transport difficulties.

Father we ask that You would stir up Your strength on behalf of Steve and Christina and the team, that You would cause Your face to shine upon them and release Your healing power to their bodies. We continue to declare that You are the One who makes their paths straight, that You are the One who opens doors that no man can close, that you are the One who heals and restores, who plants and brings forth a harvest, who declares by Your word and establishes that word. We delight in Your Kingdom being released in and through this team and in and through every life that they touch, we delight that You are the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings for Haiti. Thank you Jesus that You never leave us nor forsake us.

What a powerful awesome God we serve!  Thank You Lord.

Amen Lord!  Our prayers are with you and the team for blessings of health and safety;

for blessings of joy as you continue to see His presence in the world around you;

His truth and His love as He touches you and others  day after day!

Have just read the above report on the website re the Haiti trip – we can rejoice and give thanks in the great things that God is doing amongst the people there.

Wow!! What excitement to be used by God in this way - to start a church. I wholeheartedly agree that the courage you've shown Yeshua is being honored by His manifest presence
