"A happy child makes a toy at Christmas"
Each year the Christian ministry SHADDAI the direction of the Holy Spirit is dedicated to spread joy and hope to all children attending the Children's Dining in different areas of the city of Chinandega. Precisely in the Christmas season, especially when dominated and growing sense of peace, love, solidarity and love of neighbor. The task is not easy, and that starts months before the request for support to each and every one of the good-hearted people who want to make a child happy at Christmas, for it sent a mass invitation to contribute to this noble cause with almost a token contribution, in this case 2010, we have determined to request an offering of $ 5.00 for each child, as these funds are invested in bring a lunch, a piñata and conclude with the presentation of a toy for each child.

The greatest satisfaction of all the team of Christian Ministry "El Shaddai" is to receive the invaluable prize of smiling children shouting for joy when you receive a lunch, a piñata and a toy in many cases not expecting these Christmas.

Only our Heavenly Father makes possible what many consider difficult.
God Bless ALL that good-hearted support year after year this worthy cause for children Chinandega.

"Every man according as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver."

Hi,

Christina & I, after months of being out of the country more than home, now find ourselves in Vancouver for a good portion of the summer and fall. This week I taught an introduction on The Sermon on the Mount as preparation for a teaching series that I am beginning this coming Tuesday in our home. We will meet for potluck supper at 6 pm for those who want to do that, and then begin teaching at 7:30. If you want to come to the potluck, please rsvp by email; if you want to only come to the teaching, simply show up with a Bible and notebook at 7:30–and feel free to bring a friend with you.. We are also hoping to put the weekly teaching on our website (www.impactnations.com) for those who can't make it.

I have been studying the Sermon on the Mount in some depth since the beginning of 2010. This has significantly affected my prayer life and impacted my personal experience of following Jesus as a disciple. The Sermon in the Mount is the most concentrated teaching of Jesus that we have recorded; it is His 'Magna Carta". I am excited to have this opportunity in my schedule to teach and discuss with friends over the coming weeks.

Blessings,
Steve

Hi Sam,

Would you consider helping in a very practical way this weekend?

I just got off the phone with Tim in the Philippines. We have a village who is waiting, in desperate need of safe drinking water; we also have our truck waiting to be loaded with 65 filters--enough to provide at least 650 people. As you likely know, I sent out a general appeal for people to purchase a filter for $40 that will change the life of a family.
The need is so immediate that I am writing to some of my friends with the following requests:
1. to purchase a filter this weekend
2. to join the Bulod Philippines group
3. to invite 2 or 3 other families to purchase a filter
Please help to make this happen.click here
The youngest and oldest quite literally die from the water in Bulod, and the health of everyone is seriously compromised.
Thanks.

Hi Sam,
Our Impact Group goes out into the community about 1/month. Would you like to join us next week?
This Tuesday, Sept. 22, our Impact Group is going to a housing project to do a BBQ, pray for people and try to connect with the community. If you have the time, it would be great to have you with us. Please RSVP, so I can plan things a bit.
We are trying to start by 5:30 (it gets dark early now). For those who can come at 5, we will meet at a friend's house across the street from the housing project. Her address is 7075 15th St. Burnaby. If you can't come early, no problem--meet us at the housing project where we will do the BBQ. I am asking for everyone to bring $5-10 to cover the cost of food. If you want to bring a salad, that would be good. I will buy hot dogs, condiments, cookies (maybe fruit) and get drinks.

I will attach a map.

The easiest way for you is to go east on Marine. Turn left at the light at Byrne. Keep going for a while until you get to the flashing light at 15th St. Turn left. Tricia's house is on 15th; the housing is across the road. It is long and narrow, between 15th & 18th; divided into about 6 complexes strung together. We are meeting at the most easterly one (nearest 18th).
Park on 14th Ave and walk in.

Should be a great time. Last time we saw an amazing healing miracle with a 16 yr old boy.
Bless you.
