The Isaiah 58 Fast

The feeding projects in these villages are funded through people responding to Isaiah 58:

• Bulera, Uganda: 263 school children ($0.13/meal)
• Visakhapatnam, India: 100-150 beggars ($0.46/meal)
• Limonal, Nicaragua: Feeding Center for 250 children ($0.27/meal)
• Mityana, Uganda: 470 children ($0.08/meal)
• Payatas, Philippines: 600 children ($0.32/meal)

Increasingly, Impact Nations is working among some of the poorest, most desperate people in the world. Among those trying to survive in garbage dumps, on sidewalks, in shantytowns and urban slums, we are working with men women and children who are suffering severe malnutrition; many face the real possibility of death by starvation. Their greatest need is simply to eat.

As members of the Impact Network, we have the capacity and moral obligation to do something to save lives. It is time to rise above good intentions and together choose to become active to make a powerful and immediate difference among the poor and the oppressed. “The time for talk is over.” Cardinal Leger

If we all participate by fasting 2 meals and donating weekly, together we will be able to provide 35,000 meals a month. Each of our partners in the developing world already has the workers in place. All they need is us.
