Impact Nations

History

Impact Nations partners with national leaders and organizations who have the influence and capacity to collaborate for effective change. Then together we build bridges to rescue lives, one village at a time.

2009

India

We returned for a third year to Andhra Pradesh. Building upon the work of the previous two trips, we saw an increase in almost every aspect. We attended a graduation ceremony for the sewing program, but this time over 200 women graduated. There was now a permanent medical clinic operating. We treated at least 2,000 people in the clinics; 200 leaders from as far as 14 hours away were trained; many hundreds heard about Jesus, saw his healing power demonstrated, and decided to trust their lives to Him.

Nicaragua

For many months, a partnership had been developing with a group in Nicaragua; together, we had started a farming pilot project and we were looking into helping increase the size of a success children’s feeding program. During this Journey we went into maximum security prisons, conducted clinics in some of the poorest villages we had been in, worked with leaders from the region, and sent teams out to the streets and into the houses to pray for the sick and encourage people. From the first day, we saw the Lord do amazing things. We were very aware of favour the entire Journey.

Philippines

Because of what had been accomplished during our two previous Journeys to the Philippines, our team hit the ground running. We traveled by river boat, jeeps and army trucks to the most remote villages we have ever been to. Some of these villages had no record of there ever being a medical clinic. One of our team was a surgeon and she was kept busy treating those who would never otherwise have received help. This was a great partnership with local churches, the Bishop, the army, police and regional government.

Nicaragua

We returned after just four months to continue what we had started. During this Journey, we helped build a fence around a farm project that will feed about 2,000 children, we fed prisoners, visited a new feeding center that Impact Nations funded, trained leaders, met with and prayed for hundreds of villagers, and conducted outdoor meetings where men, women and children responded to both hearing about and experiencing the reality of God’s Kingdom. Once again, there were too many people healed to count.

2008

India

We returned to Andhra Pradesh, India with a large team for five nations. We attended the first graduation ceremony from the sewing program for widows; 80 women graduated. Once again, we conducted medical clinics, helped with the water filtration program that he had launched, worked with the new sewing students, and went to many villages—both telling the people the good news of God’s Kingdom, and demonstrating its reality.

Philippines

During this Journey of Compassion we returned to Payatas to continue on with the work that we had started there. Later, the team flew to the island of Mindanao where we conducted a number of medical clinics, worked with over 150 leaders, traveled to some remote villages and conducted meetings in the middle of the city for several nights. We had the privilege of working with leaders from many denominations, both Protestant and Catholic.

Guatemala

This trip took our team into the mountains region of the nation. We conducted medical clinics most days of the Journey. We also sent teams to the homes in the many poor villages where we visited. These teams saw a lot of healing and many encouraged by experiencing God’s love and power.

Zambia

This Journey took an international team to a beautiful, but incredibly poor nation where unemployment runs at over 80%. We worked in quintessential African villages, in rural slums—bringing tangible expressions of compassion and hope to the poor. Without exception, the people were responsive and very thankful. During one morning at the clinic we saw four totally blind people receive their sight. News of the healings reached thousands, resulting in a great response to the good news of God`s Kingdom.

Peru

This was our first Journey of Compassion to South America. A large team from a number of nations gathered in Lima. We went to the poor living up in the hills. Some reported that they had never had anyone come to see them. Once again, we saw remarkable healings--blindness, deafness, tumors and paralysis left instantly. Of course we also treated many hundreds in the mobile medical clinics.

2007

India

This was our first Journey to India. We conducted numerous mobile medical clinics, did several days of training for about 150 leaders and traveled to many poor villages. We saw many amazing healings; for example, a deaf and mute girl instantly received her hearing and full speech; several blind people received their sight. We also did the preliminary planning for a sewing program for widows; this resulted in a number of sewing schools being established.

Mexico

This Journey took us to a number of fairly remote towns and villages in the Vera Cruz hills. We worked among the poor, conducting medical clinics, visiting families, and conducting outdoor meetings where many lives were touched and people were healed.

Philippines

On this first trip to the Philippines we worked in one of the largest garbage dumps in Asia (over 250,000 live there permanently). We conducted medical clinics, trained local leaders, went house-to-house, and conducted outdoor meetings. We then flew to Bicol where there had been a volcanic eruption followed by a typhoon, resulting in the deaths of many hundred and immediate economic hardship in the area. The medical needs were great, and each day our team saw everyone who came. Again, we saw wonderful healings as we told them about the love and power of God.

2006

Dominican Republic

One of our largest Journeys, we conducted leadership training, built a permanent clinic, held 6 mobile clinics and conducted outdoor meetings where a great many people responded to hearing the good news about God’s Kingdom coming by opening their hearts and lives to Christ. Also, many hundreds of people reported being healed. The district reported a significant and immediate drop in the local crime rate.

Venezuela

Mobile medical clinics were held in two regions of the country among the extremely poor; about 2,000 people received medical treatment. Again, many responded to the gospel and many others received healing.

West Kenya

A team from Canada, the UK and Australia went into the hill country in the west, which is largely populated by poor laborers in the tea fields. This Journey was marked by remarkable miracles and healings, and over a thousand people opening their lives to Jesus.

Thailand

Our team represented 8 nations from Asia, Oceania, North America and Britain. We traveled to three distinct regions of this nation. In the north we worked with over 600 leaders who were ministering among those under attack by Burmese terrorists. In the south, we worked among the rural people. In Pataya, we worked in a local garbage dump, and among those trapped in prostitution.

2005

East Kenya

This was our first full Journey of Compassion. We took a team to the eastern desert region of Kenya. We held our first small mobile clinics in two villages, did leadership training for about 100, did the first outdoor Christian meetings in the city of Garissa and in Dadaab, a refuge camp with over 135,000 people.
