Comment by Doug Penner on March 4, 2010 at 12:03pm: Just heard Osvaldo's on his way back from Panama where he had emergency eye surgery. Had lost 50% of his vision and they had to operate right away. Scheduled for the other eye in a few weeks.

Email from Osvaldo: God bless. I'm in Panama, in the hospital Mae Lewis, they're doing in general check the sugar problem, I did several tests today and I need more. Sugar left me high and I have insulin.
I trust the Lord that everything will be fine, thank you for your prayers.

I am taking the treatment they sent me and liked me, sugar is still high yet but I trust in God that soon stabilized. God bless you and I will contact you very soon.

Here is Montse’s response to my question on Facebook about how her dad was doing:
"Hi Christina!!! well my dad right now is getting better, but he needs to rest and take care of him self, also the doctor said that he needs to loose weight, a lot of weight, because his problem is the diabetes, and he needs to eliminate all the food that is not good for him, we are praying for him, and trying to support him in every way, because he is a little bit sad and he needs prayings, we are trusting in our Lord because He can do miracles, even heal the diabetes, so thanks for all the prayings, my dad is taking now his medicines, many medicines... well I just wanted to say thank u and steve for the prayings, and the rest of the persons that are praying, with all my heart thank u, and we love u"
