Plan For Saint Patrick’s Day Out Reach To Stamps Place
Time and Place
- Russian Hall (600 Campbell Ave) at 7:00 on March 16, 1010
The Vancouver Impact Team
- To cover the 700, 600, 500, and 400 townhouse sections we will need 4 teams of 4 or more
people (this will give us time to chat and pray for folks in the complex)
The Gift
- A bag of “Irish candy”
- A green fridge magnet with an Irish blessing
o If you have a short Christian based Irish blessing please let us know this week
o If you like to do craft activities and want to help make the fridge magnets contact
Joan at (604 271 8427) or e mail her at greenfield_joan@yahoo.com this week
o There are so many children; does anyone have an idea a special gift for them?
Our Message Is Simple
- ”We have a Saint Patrick’s Day gifts for you and your family”
- “We want you to know that God loves you”
- “Can we pray for you and your family” or
- “If Jesus was here, what would you ask him to do?”
o If there is an openness a couple of people can take the time to talk, pray, and
inquire about any ongoing needs (if this happens seek the Lord for words of
knowledge, prophetic encouragements healings etc.)
o Notice if there is a positive response and make a note if there has been a change
(healing, new hope, etc,)
- We will provide a log book and one person in each group should be designated to record
the names and unit numbers of people that were prayed for, where there was a healing etc.
o Get a phone number in situations where a follow up visit should be made
o Please hand in the log book to Joan or myself at the end of the night
Intercession
- Before the outreach
o Please pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit during the outreach
o Please pray for open doors and open hearts during the outreach
o Please pray for healings, prophetic words and divine encounters with the people at
Stamps
o Please pray that we will have access to people from the 400 and 500 towers
- If you hear something regarding the outreach from the Lord let Joan or I know
- While the outreach is happening we will need as many people as possible praying at home,
at work, etc to cover the team and press in for the Lord to touch hearts and change lives
Those that pray for Stamps Place share in the breakthroughs that have are and will happen
Please let Joan and I know by phone (604 271 8427) or e-mail dancingjohng@yahoo.ca if you are
able to help us. We would like to have the names of those who will be on this outreach team by
Tuesday March 9, 2010. (Ground fees for this our reach will be five dollars per person) Joan and
I are having the time of our life with this-come and have some “Big Fun” with us!

How much is one person worth? (Part 2)

So Jesus told them this story: “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ Luke 15:3-6 (New Living Translation)

Uyen has been living on the streets of the poorest part of Vancouver. Her mother Vivian has been broken hearted over the lifestyle her oldest daughter lives. Vivian has lived with little hope along with much emotional and physical pain. As Joan and I have visited with her over the last six weeks her physical pain has gone. We agreed to try to make contact with Uyen and show her some kindness and see want God would do.

With help from our friend Don Bangs, we were able to connect with Uyen and meet with her three times in the last few weeks. We have been able to give her pictures of her daughter whom she loves but she is unable to care for. (Vivian has custody of the Uyen’s daughter). Uyen is staring to realize that we are there to help her. Last week Uyen visited her mother’s home at Stamps for the first time in months. This is a major breakthrough and has restored hope and joy into Vivian’s heart!

Last Friday, Uyen quickly drank her coffee, took our spare change, and ran off. (Don told us she is warming up to us) Five minutes latter, she came back, chatted with us for fifteen minutes, and thanked us for showing an interest in her and her daughter. She was thankful that her daughter likes to play with us and we are having a positive impact in her life.

There is a long way to go to see Uyen come off the streets and get into a drug rehabilitation program. Joan and I have hope, and with your prayers, we have faith that Uyen will be completely restored to her family and have a transformational relationship with Jesus

Keep praying

Cheers,

John

How much is one person worth?

A whole lot according to God. So much that God sent His son Jesus to live among us and demonstrate the power of the His Kingdom, and finally to offer Jesus up as a atonement for the sin of every person who has ever lived

Today Jane and Sam experienced the power of the Kingdom as we visited them at Stamps Place. Jane has diabetes and is in the early stages of kidney failure. Sam has colitis and is in constant pain. His food runs right through him.

When we first sat down to visit there was an obvious weight of sadness and discouragement. Joan and I listened to their story of illness and lost hopes. When we prayed Sam was clearly touched. His pain left and he was smiling. He felt encouraged! We will visit then again next week, and we expect that Jesus will bring more hope and healing into their lives. Pray for Jane and Sam for their complete healing and that they would confess Jesus as their only Lord and Savior (They are Hindus).

The doors at Stamps are opening! We are bringing the love of Jesus and the power of His Kingdom to this place one person at a time. Your prayers are making a difference, If you are able to join us for the VIT Saint Patrick’s Day outreach on Tuesday March 16 mark this date on your calendars. Joan and I will be providing more details in the next week.

Keep praying for Stamps Place!

Cheers,

John
