Permalink Update from Vince Carter on September 1, 2011 at 2:48am Dearest friends,
Thank you so much for your help in partnering with us.
This wednesday we had feeding program for our beggar friends. Rice, brinjal, green peas, tomato curry, boiled egg and water are the menu this time. Raining for the past 2 days, it was cloudy and drizzling on that day too. Decided to prepare more food to give to more people, prepared extra, gave food to 147 friends.
Don't know the reason but this time we saw more wounded people, wounds on legs, head, on face and so on.
But one particular thing touched us, still so painful. A woman seen near a garbage dump, her head has a big wound, her face and nose was wounded as if some one beat her, she is crying when we went to her, stinking, stared at us. So happy to see the food, ate at once. She did not speak us us neither answered our questions, not willing to receive our help. She is afraid, suffering but when we left, she was smiling with thanks. Can't tell you the pain of our friends, especially women and children on streets. They
are abused, beaten and are mentally challenged. That's the reason why we are praying to start a home for the beggar girls. They are crying and dying in the darkness. Please do pray.
Thank you friends for your help in feeding our friends, healing their lives, bringing hope into their future.
Love and prayers,
Vijay Chris.
Permalink Update from Vince Carter on October 21, 2011 at 8:04am Thank you so much for partnering with us in taking care of the very poor. In September, we usually feed the beggars on Tuesdays, but on 9/6 due to major Hindu festival, Vinayakachavathi we did not do. We did though, for the next threeks on Tuesdays, feeding almost four hundred people. We gave packets of food with rice, curry, water, banana, chicken and egg. Even one week, we included a sweet. The people were responding to the gospel and wanted to take baptism and they are praying reguraly. We are praying into how to do so, without causing undue persuction for those who take baptism.
