"Just to let you know, I had an excellent talk with Vince today. He has a mechanic friend who will work with him in finding an SUV for less money, He will work on it beginning tomorrow. I helped him understand that an old vehicle now is better than waiting a long time for the $ for a new one."

Many of you are aware that, together, we work with some very heroic teams in the developing world––none more so than Vince's team in India.

He and Nancy have trained a team of young men and women who achieve a truly astounding amount of high impact ministry. And they do it week after week: feeding sidewalk beggars, visiting the children’s prisons, running programs for widows, doing street concerts, working 3 days every week in villages away from the city (where they have planted a number of churches), conducting village medical clinics, taking the Gospel to unreached people in the mountains.

When Swee Lip and I met with Vince and his key leaders, it was apparent to us that they have one great over-arching need: a vehicle (project #506). We can hardly imaging the challenges and hindrances that they face every time that the go out to impact lives, either in their city, or in the countryside. This is not a luxury; it is a necessity.

An anonymous donor has generously responded by pledging to match donations up to $5,000. If together we can raise the other half, it will allow Vijay’s team to purchase an SUV, which is necessary to manage the rural roads. They also need its size to carry hundreds of meals, sound equipment, team members etc.

As seriously as I know how, I am asking you to do two things. First, please give to make this happen. Second, please make this need known to your friends, family or co-workers. The need is immediate and urgent. The stakes are high for our Indian family and for all those to whom they are taking Jesus.

There are of course other projects that we want to help Vijay with, like a sound system, medical supplies etc. But the SUV is the essential building block for everything else.

The Apostle John wrote a letter to his friend Gaius. Knowing that Gaius himself could not presently go on a missionary endeavor, John said this to his friend––

⁷For they are traveling for the Lord, and they accept nothing from people who are not believers. ⁸So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth. (1 Jn 3:7-8)

Together, let us activate and demonstrate our commitment to the Gospel and to our family on the front lines.

Thank you so much for the Money towards vehicle. This is the biggest amount we have ever recieved in our life.
We have seen a very good vehicle of 2006 model Scorpio- Black.
The total cost they said is 4.3 lakhs and finally they came to 3.7 lakhs.
We showed to our mechanic and he said its a good vehicle and good deal too.
So we decided to take it. We gave some token amount also.

Extra works we have to do is
Insurance + transfer - 13,000 Rs
Registration transfer - 1,000 Rs
Oil changings - 4,800 Rs
Music player - 4,000 Rs
Consultants' Comission - 5,000 Rs
Front mirror - 8,000 Rs
Tithe - 40,000 Rs

Vehicle 3,70,000 lakhs +75,800 Rs = 4,45,800 ( Four Lakh forty five thousand and eight hundred rupees ).

We shared about the SUV and IMPACT giving us the amount, both our parents came forward to give us the remaining amount.
Thank God for the ways he worked everything so perfectly.
Me and neeraja we will share this great news to all our guys in our fellowship today.

This vehicle has increased capacity to do more of our ministry. We are using it for feeding the poor every Tuesday, and Frendsmeet Kids camp on October 4, 5, 6, and 7th. What a big help to have in cooordinating that event with the many volunteer meetings on August 13, 18th, 26th, 28th. Then in Septemberr 4th and 18th. These meetings were 20 Kilometers from the city and could not have happened without this vehicle. On August 23rd, we had a village medical clinic at Kothavalasa which is 30 kilometers away from the city. We were able to serve 230 people that day. On September 3rd,10th, 17th and 24th we were able to teach in a bible school in Bheemili which is 35 kilometers from the city. That means we were able to teach 25 pastors every week and our worship team lead them in worship. Only through the use of this vehicle was this possible with our equipment and supplies. We have even used the vehicle for the wedding of our medical director, Jaya Shree, for those who were here last Janaury, you may remember her. Our worship team was able to lead worship for this wedding and our entire team was able to support, as it was 170 kilometers away. On 9/14 we went to a village, Kothavalasa for a prayer meeting for about 200 people. Most of those attended are from Hindu background, and some have started attending church after that meeting. We are praying for that village! On 9/30 we went to oversee and preach in three village churches about 65 kilometers away, reaching about 300 people. On October 7th we went for village evangelism in Ayyanapalen, reaching 5 villages with many accepting Christ and many healings took place that day. These villages are about 40 kilometers away from the city. On October 8th thru the 11th, the worship team went to Samalkota and Bhikavolu about 180 kilometers to teach and lead worship in the pastors conference in the morning and evening village crusades with 300 people. We also had a worship concert on 10/9 were a hundred youth attended from the nearby villages. Many were challenged to enter into the Holy of Holies to worship god. On 10/14 we took the team to the beach for a day of fellowship and fun. The worship team keeps us busy going to churches, villages, schools and orphange homes to lead worship and teach about our Lord Jesus Chirst. This vehicle is a huge asset to the feeding minstry that we do every tuesday to the beggers on the streets.

We are so thankful for the Scorpio, as this month we could not have done all we did without it. Drove over 450 miles for the worship band and all their equipment to peform 5 major Christmas Concerts as well as others. Reaching into the Enginering and Degree colleges sharing the gospel through music. It also allowed me to preach in many different churches. Once again, we thank you for this amazing gift that has moblized our ministry.
