Permalink Update from Vince Carter on October 21, 2011 at 9:57pm We are looking forward to the team coming in January. We encourage you to come and join us in this Journey of Compassion as we serve the people in the villages, the railway platforms and cities. People here are hungry to be blessed by the word and deed. We have seen many miracles and salvation's take place on the last journey. Villages have opened up more to us, including the elders of the villages. The village of Budathanapalli and the house church there has be strengthened and new people are joining. All this has been made possible by you taking your time to come serve and expand the Kingdom of God. The team is waiting for you, praying for you as we press into what God has in store. So come join us!!
From Velta's visit..... "Vince had asked that when the team came if they could give something of use to his core team of 8. They are full time, though do not receive any salary. I asked what he had in mind and he said laptop or netbook. They could be used, just in working condition. The team is pretty spread out, so better to communicate, provide reporting of testimonies, create aids for evangelism, great learning tool for them as many want to enhance their English skills to reach more people and be better translators. Also, saw them using internet to learn new worship songs and skits. It would be valuable for the core team."
Permalink Update from Christina Stewart on November 16, 2011 at 8:44am I had a good talk with Vince on the phone yesterday. He was excited to hear that God has been gathering the JOC team from five different nations. Last year we stayed in a great hotel at a reduced rate because he has a friend in the business. That friend is now the general manager of a new hotel, and is most insistent that we come and stay there, so he can bless us again! I'll send out the address as soon as I get it. Using the present address for Visa applications is fine for now. Don't forget to have Kelly or I check your itineraries and send them to us once they are finalized. Some have asked and yes, it is okay to arrive a day early to help with jet lag, but you will have to bring cash for the additional costs. And double check your passports that they have at least six months before expiring. When I filled out my Visa application yesterday I realized I had to get a new passport first!
Permalink Update from Christina Stewart on November 22, 2011 at 3:10pm Most of you who have registered for the India JOC have used the links from the orange buttons above to get more information. We have updated the "who's going" page to make it more helpful. I"ll use this page to bring updates to the team, so I encourage you to check it regularly. It is also a great place post your questions; then everyone will get the same information. Also, if you want to connect with an individual, you can click on their name, and be taken to their page on the network. If it says "in progress" beside your name, it means some part of your registration or payment is not yet complete. If you're not sure what is missing, just email us and we'll let you know.
