Thank you Father that you are opening new doors in Limonal, Nicaragua

Thank you that Your heart of is stirred for the lives of Your precious children in Limonal. Father we ask You to raise up this team – men, women and young people who know their God, who shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Daniel 11.32).

Father we ask that you would put finances in place, that You would free up the time that people need, that You would make flights available and that You would stir the hearts of those You are calling.

We pray this in Jesus name and we thank you Father that You are our strength and our protection, and all glory goes to You.

I am always surprised by people whose response to a JOC invitation is “I would love to go, but I can’t afford it”. Steve and I have always had to be dependent on the Lord for finances, whether it be to care for our family or to do ministry. I want to encourage you to approach the question from a different angle. Do you want to go? Do you think God wants you to go? If He does, the next step is to pray with faith for the provision to go. Many people who join us on these trips can tell you their testimonies of how God miraculously and surprisingly made it possible . To not ask is to presume that God is not up to the challenge! There are hundreds of people crying out for God’s provision in Nicaragua; you could be part of God’s answer to them this August.

Mt. 7:11 if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Psalm 147:10 He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. 11 No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. 12 Glorify the Lord, O Jerusalem! 12 Glorify the Lord, O Jerusalem!  Praise your God, O Zion!

I have uploaded 3 information files for those who will be attending the Nicaragua Journey! Please email me if you have any questions. Kelly@impactnations.com

We're thankful that Nicole Faber is in Nicaragua and helping move our plans forward for the August JOC. I know we can make a difference in Limonal. The local school is without walls or supplies; the kids carry their desks over their heads every day. Due to their extreme poverty they know that attending school is a privilege for which they are thankful. There is still time to register and join us as we bring lasting change to their community.
We had a great meeting last night with most of the team travelling to Limonal this week. We are ready and excited to not only do some practical projects in the community, but also see God move in power to bring healing and salvations. Money has been sent ahead to purchase supplies. We've gathered tools, school supplies and kid's stuff, all of which will stay when we leave. We will also be looking into what projects we can continue after we leave. Watch the Limonal page for updates.

Father we thank you for the team that is going to Limonal, Nicaragua. We thank you that you have hand picked each one of them. We thank you that You have prepared them for this season, we delight in what You are going to do in and through each one of them. We pray Your protection and covering over each one of them and over those that they will meet with and minister to. We ask that You will go before them and behind them. We ask that you would prepare the road for them to travel, that You bring provision for every need and that You would bring salvation and healing in all that they do. In the name of Jesus we pray and give thanks. [Psalm 68:1-20,28,32-35]

The team has just returned from an outing to see Limonal, riding in the back of the pickup truck! It has rained hard each day, and we were able to get a glimpse of the reality of their living conditions; it really looks like the photos above. Pastor Mayorga shared some of his story with us and we talked about the projects for the week.

The team travelled without any problems to Nicaragua; no delays or lost luggage! The road trip to Chinandega also went smoothly. Yesterday was to be spent doing the orientation, but after our morning session Pastor Osvaldo asked if we would paint the reception area of the clinic since it would be closed. So some spent time painting and others prepared the anti-parasite medicine and vitamins to be given out this week. Church this morning was lively and very full of the presence of God. Michael shared a testimony, Mika preached, we all shared communion, and Mika and I prayed a blessing over every church member. We'll continue our orientation shortly, and be ready for our first day of work and ministry tomorrow.

Limonal Nicaragua Update August 8, 2011

Back problems, Hip pains, Eye problems, HEALED!!! God is working here, God is healing here! The triangle of death has a new name….The Triangle of Hope. We speak it and God delivers. The first of six street campaigns has finished but God isn’t. Not by a long shot. The day started with worship and prayer, Steven and Gretchen Teerling spoke of God’s love and forgiveness on the radio. Then we went to Limonal. It started with the men completing some minor demolition and a lot of red paint on the new metal for the roof of the school. The ladies headed down street number one. We will be going down all of the streets to say hello and pray for those who need healing. We played California kickball with the kids, nearly broke a foot kicking a rock out of the ground and unfortunately put our team back in the field but you should have seen the kids – they want you in the game, they want to know you. Kids know how to be kids wherever you put them. They just want to have fun. The boys like to show feats of strength, help paint, get involved in the construction. They have hope! The soup kitchen fed over 100 children today and I loved praying with each one. The smiles on their faces were beautiful, and all of this for three meals a week. “Shaka” – “Praise”

The evening campaign started with beautiful Nicaraguan music. I couldn’t help myself – I had to dance. Before I knew it there were 5, 10, 15, 20 kids dancing along with the other members of the team. The festival has begun. We are here all week. We came here to take this place back in the name of the Lord and tonight was just the beginning. We will be taking it by force – pray with us and for us! I have to go and wring out my t-shirt..Pray people PRAY!

On our way to Limonal....

Hello everyone...here is a letter from Pastor Carlos Mayorga, who lives in Limonal  and who journeyed alongside our team.

Hello, I am Pastor Carlos Mayorga.  I am a part of the Christian ministry called  El Shaddai Christian Ministry,  Chinandega, Nicaragua.

I live in a community called LIMONAL where  I have been a witness to all the wonders of the Kingdom of God which were manifested during the visit from friends with Impact Nations - healings of deaf persons, body ache healings, ear infection,  as well as others.  This  brought alot of  encouragement for the people of Limonal.

They were also encouraged by the message of  Hope for a better future with Christ.  People received joy and the hope of  life!

As for the projects, I am going to tell you about the house that didn’t have a  roof  or a latrine.  There are 3 children and 3 adults living in this house  and now here is the question -  can you imagine how they lived with their needs?  In another house we put up a  new roof because the original roof was very old – 13 years

As for the repairs to the infrastructure of the El Shaddai church, it was a lot of benefit because it is currently being used as classrooms for about 200 children.

With this I want to close…….I want to tell you good bye to the Impact Team and thank you very much.  On behalf of  El Shaddai and the community of Limonal , may our Lord Jesus Christ multiply the blessings above your life!
