Hi everyone....here is a letter from Pastor Carlos Mayorgan, Limonal  Aug. 2011

Hello, I am Pastor Carlos Mayorga.  I am a part of the Christian ministry called  El Shaddai Christian Ministry,  Chinandega, Nicaragua.

I live in a community called LIMONAL where  I have been a witness to all the wonders of the Kingdom of God which were manifested during the visit from friends with Impact Nations - healings of deaf persons, body ache healings, ear infection,  as well as others.  This  brought alot of  encouragement for the people of Limonal.

They were also encouraged by the message of  Hope for a better future with Christ.  People received joy and the hope of  life!

As for the projects, I am going to tell you about the house that didn’t have a  roof  or a latrine.  There are 3 children and 3 adults living in this house  and now here is the question -  can you imagine how they lived with their needs?  In another house we put up a  new roof because the original roof was very old – 13 years.

As for the repairs to the infrastructure of the El Shaddai church, it was a lot of benefit because it is currently being used as classrooms for about 200 children.

With this I want to close…….I want to tell you good bye to the Impact Team and thank you very much.  On behalf of  El Shaddai and the community of Limonal , may our Lord Jesus Christ multiply the blessings above your life!

The photo below are of the storage bins that Christina Stewart arranged

for 'food storage' at the school in Limonal....to help prevent the rats

from eating / spoiling the food for the children.  Christina, the school director

is most grateful!

Wow!  Awesome!  Greg & I are so thrilled that people gave on our behalf to Limonal!  Hi Miorga! Jesus be glorified in this place. We were unable to join the JOC this time, but cheer from the sidelines as the Holy Spirit brings healing and transformation to men, women & children.  Father I pray that you would bring such change in this community that those that are currently children will know a very different life when they are adults.  Continue to bring spiritual life & abundance Lord, followed by healthy food, clean water, sanitation, proper housing, jobs and Your provision to the people of Limonal.

It is hard to describe the welcoming attitude of the people in Limonal. Each day as we arrived to work, each night as we celebrated together, their joy was genuine and infectious. This picture captures one such moment as we all dance with abandon. We particularly prayed into this transformation from shame to joy, as you can see from these scriptures.

Wednesday

-welcoming attitude/ready to receive

  •   Lu. 8:40 On the other side of the lake the crowds welcomed Jesus, because they had been waiting for him.
  •       John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’

-release of shame

  • Ps. 103:8 The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. 9He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. 10He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. 11For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. 12 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. 13The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
  • Jn. 8:4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” 6They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” 8Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. 9When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” 11“No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
  •       1 Cor. 1:26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. 27Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
  • lifter of my head
  • Ps. 123:1 I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven. 2 We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master,  as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal. 3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt. 4We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.
  •       Ps. 113:1 Praise the LORD! Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD! 2Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forever. 3Everywhere—from east to west—praise the name of the LORD. 4For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens. 5Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high? 6He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. 7He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. 8He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!

Christina Stewart Update from Christina Stewart on August 23, 2011 at 11:54am

Pastor Mayorga did a great job planning and budgeting for the projects our team did. We were so thankful to have the funds available to do every project that he proposed. This was thanks to the faithfulness of our donors. One source was the generosity of Greg and Shawna (pictured here), who in lieu of wedding gifts, asked their guests to donate to Limonal, which they had visited last year. Thanks  to all for helping to make these lasting projects possible!
