Impact Nations

Hi Christina,

Thank you very much for all you are doing to make this JOC possible. And also thank you for the tents. I think that the two tents will be better. We will need them for the clinics the same way we used them at the last JOC in Haiti. One for the doctors and nurses and one for the Pharmacy.  And I think that, if it is possible, one or two flat tarps may be used to cover the patients while waiting to see the doctors and nurses.

After the JOC, these tents will be a great tool for the church. As I have mentioned before the church is growing fast and it is hard for us to hold several activities at the same time. Sometimes we have several meetings at the same time and sometimes we have to hold meetings in all the rooms at the house. Like the kitchen :). We will have a crusade in front of the church from February 20th to 27th and we know that many people will give theit life to the Lord. And even now our church is packed on Sunday and imagine after the crusade. So these tents will also be used to put the church on top of the roof. And also  we are getting ready now to start the children ministry and I know that we are expecting 60 to 100 kids weekly. So these two tents, will help us holding several activities at the same and also it will be the tool that will help us start with the children ministry without mentioning that when we go out to minister it will be use like camping tents for people to sleep in and will be used for anything that is needed. Buying these tents won't be an investment just for March JOC but will be used as a great tool to help taking our area one soul at the time.

Thank you very much.
May the Lord bless you and keep you!

Updates to This Project

Updated budget (shipping weight adjustment): $3,915

the shade tents were taken by me with other supplies ( boxes of food ) to the City of Light where Pastor Joniker who worked with the JOC in March lives ( the place/family that has the rescued baby from the tent city in jacmel ). Pastor joniker has a school near his church that has about 60 kids or more in attendance. The school is derived from old Aid Tarps and sticks, i felt the tents would be a better alternative for the school so i brought them there last week and also visited for a few days. they will now have a proper school for september and be able to build walls around the frame of the shade tents and in the future build a tin roof to put on top. they are very happy to have received the tents and will getting good use of them here is a few photos of what the school looks like now and i will check in on them next year to see the brand new set up.

Hello everyone,

thank you very much for the tents. Now we have 2 tents in Jacmel and 4 tents ready for Bouvier. These tents will be of great, great help as they are going to help us accommodate a better place for the students. As you can see in the pictures, pastor Jolicoeur's school is Jacmel is covered by by USAID tarps, but these tarps got used and useless within one year and you have to start over. So These tents are much better. The polls are strong and the tarp is better

And for a place like Bouvier, you cannot get better that the tents. Since Bouvier is a six to eight hours walk journey and you have to cross 3 rivers, imagine how difficult it is to carry stuff. If we would build with ciment, it would be a lot of money just to carry these material up there and it would cost even 4 times more and will take an eternity to finish the construction. So these tents are the perfect tools for now. And by them, 120 kids will have access to education  this year in Bouvier , a place where without your help, they won't have that luxury.

So one more time, thank you for helping taking care of the poorest

Pastor Reginald, I love what you are doing. I hope to see you in November...

Hello everyone,

Last  March I received two shading tents from Impact nations that I have given to Pastor Jolicoeur in Jacmel and recently I have received four more for the school in Bouvier. This shading tents are very important for us, and mostly for Bouvier. Bouvier is a 6 to 8 hours hiking journey and everything has to be carried. So it is extremely difficult to build anything as it would cost you 3 times what it would down here in Carrefour. And it will take forever to build. So thjis tents are perfect as they are pre built and easy to carry. They are strong and can last for long.

So thank you very much for helping us impacting the lives of those who are hopeless.
