Just to let you know, the fellow got healed of his back problem that evening and then came to a Bible study in one of the resident's living room and recommitted to Christ.
When we broke out into the Bible study in Amanda's living room, she invited two neighbors. Both received Christ as Savior before the night was over. It just so happened that they had a pet garter snake in a terrarium that had died recently. For some reason the dead snake was left in there. At the end of the evening I referred to it as symbolic that the snake in all them had died and the new life in Christ had come. What a blessing.
When Steve was here, we initiated this ministry by what I called "Banana Evangelism" - giving away bags of bananas, apples and oranges. This night was "Cotton Candy" evangelism. Hey! Whatever works, right?

Testimony:
The Bristol Housing Authority told us we could come, but could NOT preach Jesus or pray. We were disappointed but felt developing loving relationships in the community was important. During the evening event, a former member of our church arrived at the dinner. He lives in Davis Drive and is suffering terrible back pain. Pastor Chris prayed for him and the director of the housing authority was watching him. After he prayed he went to her to explain that this man was a former member of the church and had asked for prayer for his back. She smiled at him and said "I saw what you did. This area needs prayer- and seeing what your church did tonight, I want to give you full freedom to do whatever you want in this community! Keep praying!" praise the Lord. Favor!!! <3

Last night we had a wonderful outreach in Davis Drive community. We hosted a free dinner. During the dinner there was kids activities, raffles, music and much more. Activation teams were sent out to go door to door to pray for the sick. After the dinner teams were sent into homes within the community for an at home Bible study. Pastor Howard took a team to Amanda's house who recently gave her life to Jesus Christ. Amanda invited several friends over for the Bible study and every person in the home committed to a new life in Christ! Praise the Lord! We are still excited to hear other praise reports that will come from this event!!! :)
