Email from Joy Pongco, PCMC:
Indeed there are several areas in Pampanga that has been severely affected not only with the recent typhoons that visited us in the last quarter of  2009 but also suffer from the impoverish economic situation of our country.
Upon receipt of your email, we have already mobilized our resources such as coordination with the Governor and other public officials.  Such coordination will not be so difficult for us as we have a good working relationship with both the provincial, city and municipal officials.

Hi Sue - did you remember to take your worm tablet at the wedding reception? It's been a bit difficult reentry for us too, with 2 deaths of church members. But God is good and faithful. He's kept us. The trip has also had a big impact on me, the Phils is calling me back.
great to hear from you Rose. Now I understand the emotions you were feeling after Nicaragua. I'm crying at the drop of a hat, but they're good tears. I have a new desire to make a difference in the world wherever God chooses to place me. blessings from Sue
Sue Walker Update from Sue Walker on June 30, 2009 at 5:11pm
Hi Rose - getting back into life again. 3 days after I arrived back I went to New Zealand for a week for a family wedding, while I was there there was a death in the family as well so there was also a funeral. Since getting back here last Wednesday I have been in the throws of the end of our financial year in the business and I also had a conference to speak at last Saturday so my feet have hardly touched the ground. I am feeling really good about our time in the Phils, it has had a big impact on me and I am sure that this is not going to be the last trip I will have there. How are you doing? Blessings Sue

Hi Rose - I am not a computer whiz but I did figure out that if you click on settings in the top right hand corner of the page under your name you can import a photo from your computer. I hope this helps. This is all new to me and a bit daunting. Blessings Sue

JED Rosano Update from JED Rosano on June 28, 2009 at 9:56am
Hi everyone... As for me, this trip has become enormously life changing... I see how radically BIG my PAPA is: From the sunrise, to the mud, to the thousands of healings, to the tireless and dedicated armies, whoa, the new Christian armies (yahoo!), to the missionaries who are willing go through so much out of their sheer love for PAPA, to the sunset with a rainbow, to a pastor who gave his life to JESUS and served a flood-stricken,far flung, crocodile infested community because of JESUS... to this day I am amazed... for all the great things HE has done in our midst...

my best regards to all of you...

Ray Carter Update from Ray Carter on June 26, 2009 at 11:20pm
I had a chance to share about JOC in church last Sunday as part of preaching - I spoke from the aspect of the Kingdom of God and used testimonies from Philippines to illustrate the kingdom of God in action - underpinned the message with the mustard seed parable from Mk 4, approaching this parable from the perspective of the Jewish culture and the way in which the seed will spread so dramatically even though it's start is so small - I had a number of people giving +ve feedback including one of our high school chaplains who is looking to see more of the kingdom in the school & a number of people who would like to come on a JOC - trying to get some strategic alliances with another major international Christian organisation to get a joint venture with them and Impact Nations - interesting to see what happens
