PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR ANT MALARIA PROJECT IN BARIADI – TANZANIA.

INTRODUCTION: -

Ng’wamasheng’wa Farm Group and Community development is a memorial family team situated at Ihusi Village Bariadi District Tanzania. The team is made of brothers, sisters, daughters and grand children of the Late Elder Masheng’wa Lusha who passed away peacefully by diabetes and heart attack in July 2009, having reached 91 years old. When he was alive, he dedicated 300 potential fertilizer land from his 1000 owned acres to be used for social development projects in the area such as integrated demonstration farming model seed process, orphanage centers, library, nursery school and health facilities etc.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: -

Malaria disease is a major public health problem in Tanzania, and increasing trends have been observed for many years now. A significant consequence of repeated Malaria infection in high transmission areas is anemia in children, youth and adults followed abortion and delivery of premature infants to pregnant women. Statistics from health experts and research institutions revel that Malaria is now days a leading killer disease in the entire country and various prevention strategies to combat Malaria have been processed one being capacity building to community members on environmental sanitation and generally hygienic best practices. However due to limited resources a vast area particularly in the less advantaged rural areas is not yet reached.

THE PROJECT COMPONENT PROGRAMS: -

In addressing Malaria problem, the proposal project will mainly deal with three major activities as follows: -

1.    Prevention methods

2.    Diagnostic facility

3.    Curing facility.

1.    The Prevention program will definitely involve supply of some mosquito nets to vulnerable school children from 5 to 18 years old. As to bring the expected result contributing to medium term benefits (Post project) contributing to overall long term impact we will continue to work with the rest of the identified most vulnerable children at Sima Primary School and Ihusi Primary School and later be followed by other neighbouring school in the focus area. This program will include awareness creation and sensitization on Malaria prevention methods to the community members.

2.    The diagnostic facility program will involve conduction of a mobile outreach laboratory services which automatically will include Malaria parasite screening, urinary transmission infections (UTI) Seli – Haemotobias to children and adults caused by direct untreated drinking water from the rivers, dams and natural wells, intestinal worms, ear and eye disease, sight examination etc.

3.    The curing program will involve provision of medical treatment to malaria victims and other diagnosed infections to children, youth and adults. This is due to the fact that in the focus area we are going to work with dispensing facility is not found as someone has to travel long distance away to obtain services from the government health centers. Thus the program will be a fantastic advantage indeed a blessing to the concerned community respectively.

This comprehensive mult-public health programs exception of mosquito nets services is designed to function under coast sharing payment to the affected community members and the children from the able families. The generated revolving fund from the initial donation sources will sustain us financially for further self reliant public health services. It will enhance us pay allowances to our voluntary health practitioners and also buy some minor working tools.

Village Sharing Agency the NGO implementing partner will provide with two portable microscopes and some voluntary health practitioners. Our Government through the District Council department of Public health will support by giving two medical personells a clinical officer and a nurse to assist working with us all along the focus villages.

And without prejudice, we finally take this opportunity to ensure our kind donars and members that – their resources will wonderfully rescue abundance of need lives in our native community in terms of poor health transformation.

The project activities is envisage to commence anytime after fund availability and the ultimate time to pharse one completion will be for twelve month. The program can be renewable accordingly. Thus we vividly invite our friends to continue supporting us anyway in terms of cash, working equipments, additional medical kit reading glasses to old people and sight spectacles, mosquito nets, books, computers and some appropriate advise and consultancy. The work is broad so we invite skilled volunteers to come our way and help us. Moreover we press our special request to impact Nations facilitators Steve Stewart and Dough Penner to arrange a journey of compassion to vulnerable groups in Bariadi Tanzania in the future. We are also interested to communicate with Mr. Tim Stewart from Philipens on water filtering technology. Our people would also need some pure and safe drinking water prepared from a simple and low cost methods. Pure drinking water is one of our health basic prevention strategies to reduce urinary infections to children and adults in the indigenous community.
