Kings Kids is incorporating more vocational training facets to give the students a fuller educational experience. Currently the school has two sewing machines to train students in tailoring. This educational outlet offers students an opportunity to gain knowledge in an area which potentially may become their source of income after they graduate. Other students have started school very late in their lives so acquiring vocational skills is an important asset to have in their education if they are unable to proceed with academic studies. There are many students that want to learn tailoring skills but only have limited time on a machine because there are only two to share.
Pastor Robert would like to acquire four more sewing machines at his school. Increasing the amount of sewing machines will result in more students being able to spend time learning on the machines. Each sewing machine costs 250,000 UGX, the total cost of this project is 1,000,000 UGX.
