Hope & Care School: Before and After

Just over one month ago (September 2014), we received news from our partners in Kalonga that a storm had completely destroyed the Hope & Care School building.  Thankfully, no one was hurt when the building collapsed, but the devastation left 260 children with nowhere to attend school.

We sent word to our wonderful Impact Nations family about the urgent need.  Within weeks, we had enough money to rebuild the school.  The school building has already been completely rebuilt- and it’s better than ever.  Now instead of dirt, it has cement floors.  Not only does this make the structure more durable, but it also protects the children from “jiggers,” parasites that dig into the children’s feet causing painful sores.

Thank you to all those who helped make this exchange… beauty for ashes.
