My 11-year-old daughter and I have been on 2 JOCs. When I asked her what the Impact of the JOCs have been on her life, without any thought she said, "I am closer to God, I talk to God more, and they have been a major turning point in my life.
It was really important to me to be able to serve those who live in deep poverty. To see their lives and the impact we could have in a brief moment (with the gospel) for them was so powerful.
It is living, breathing and doing the gospel everyday. Bowing my knee to wash the feet of the unlovable by world's standards but completely loved and accepted by Jesus
I prayed for someone in the clinic who was having a hard time recovering from rotator cuff surgery. He couldn’t lift his arm up very high at all and said he was in severe pain all the time. By the time we got done praying, he could lift his arm almost to his head
This was my first mission trip ever and I'm so glad I went! I had an amazing experience.
